Nicole Bankhead, LPC, is the founder and clinical director of Serenity Wellness and Counseling Center in Cypress, Texas. She is a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, chronic stress, and treatment-resistant mental health concerns. Nicole’s work is grounded in the belief that lasting healing often requires looking beyond symptoms and understanding the connection between the mind, body, nervous system, relationships, lifestyle, and overall sense of meaning and purpose. Her integrative approach may include trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems–informed work, mindfulness, neurofeedback, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic preparation and integration. Nicole has completed advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and has facilitated more than 150 ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions. She also serves as a lead therapist in clinical research examining psychedelic-assisted therapy for individuals experiencing depression and cancer-related emotional distress. Through Serenity Wellness and Counseling Center, Nicole has developed a collaborative model of care that brings together psychotherapy, psychiatry, neurofeedback, functional medicine health coaching, nutrition, and other supportive wellness services. She is especially passionate about helping people understand the deeper patterns contributing to emotional and physical distress so they can move toward greater regulation, connection, resilience, and fulfillment. Nicole approaches healing with compassion, open curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual story. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can reconnect with themselves and make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.
